Cooking Business in Thailand
Would you like to do a cooking class in Thailand? Then go ahead. We would like to introduce you to the cooking culture of the Thai people. We compare the cooking class we visited with Oun and his wife Kae with a German cooking class. We are also allowed to interview the two and hope to infect you even more with the Thai cuisine.

The Thai cuisine combines influences of culinary art from China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia and even Portugal. From this mixture a unique and unique culinary direction emerged. Although Thai food has a reputation for being very spicy, this is not entirely true: Thai food is actually a well-balanced combination of spicy, sour, sweet, salty and bitter. It's not about combining these flavors in one dish, but combining and contrasting the flavors in two or three different dishes. That's why you eat together and share the dishes. Typical of the Thai cuisine is the use of fresh herbs and fermented fish sauce Nam Pla, which is used as in German cuisine salt in virtually every dish to taste.
Spoon and fork are used for eating in Thailand while eating from the spoon - the fork serves only as an auxiliary instrument.

Regional specialities

Every region of the country has its typical specialties. In the northeast, for example, sticky rice is eaten the most. There is also grilled chicken in a special marinade and som Tam, a spicy salad of grated green papaya with dried shrimp, seasoned with lemon juice, fish sauce, garlic and chilli. In the north, there is a slightly sour pork sausage called Naem. In the deep south, the dishes are heavily influenced by Malaysian Muslim cuisine with seafood specialties. Popular throughout the country are the popular spicy prawn soup Tom Yam Gung, Gaeng Phet Gai (red chicken curry), Tom Kha Gai (mild chicken soup in coconut milk and lemongrass), or Yam Nuea (spicy beef salad).

Eat outside
In Thailand, you do not eat to satisfy your hunger, but rather for the pleasure of eating. The whole day from morning to evening is a snack, sometimes here - sometimes, no matter if you are hungry, the food here is just too delicious. Restaurants, snack bars and street stalls are more than places to quench your hunger, they are meeting places for the sociable Thais who enjoy their meals together with nice people together. Menu menus in Thai restaurants often have an incredible variety of dishes. Embark on the adventure and taste the delicious, exotic specialties. If you're having dinner with friends, it's best to order in Thai style: put different dishes in the middle of the table and everyone can taste it all. In this way, everyone is guaranteed to find a new favorite dish. In addition to restaurants and takeaways, Thais regularly eat at the many food stalls on the roadside or in the many markets. Although many tourists are skeptical, this is the true Thai food and the best food for most visitors.

Cooking Class

Since most of the visitors love the Thai cuisine, it is not surprising that many of them also want to learn Thai cooking. Cooking Thai is (almost) as much fun as eating Thai. A Thai cooking class on holiday will help you to take home the taste of Thailand. Most Thai cooking classes start at local markets, where ordinary Thai people also buy the many exotic ingredients for preparation. An experienced teacher of a good Thai cooking school will not only explain the ingredients, but also point out alternatives that you can get in your local grocery store. Back at the cooking school, the instructor will demonstrate the preparation of each dish, after which the students will cook their own dish, under the supervision of the instructor. Students choose up to five dishes and then cook the dishes themselves. After you cook, the dishes are served for you to eat and you are sure to enjoy this home-cooked meal. For some Thai cooking schools, it is also common to invite one or more escorts to eat as the amount of prepared food would be too much for one. Thai cooking classes range from daily classes to complete training programs for ambitious chefs.
