THE 7-ELEVEN STORE

IN JUNE 1989 THE FIRST 7-ELEVEN SHOP OPENED AT THE PATPONG ROAD IN BANGKOK. WITH A SMALL CONCEPT AND GREAT SUCCESS, TOTAL SEVEN-END 7-ELEVEN SHOPS ARE OPERATING OVER THE WORLD.

Minibar and hotel telephone?

This is also cheaper - with 7-Eleven. Opening hours around the clock and a wide range of everyday things make them especially in areas without a supermarket not only for tourists and dial-Thai interesting. Their basic American idea may be controversial, but in Thailand, the corner shop for many has long been a substitute for kiosk, office or gas station. They are much more than that - a tribute to the shops with the ringtone.

MINIBAR REPLACEMENT

The drinks of the minibar in the hotel are provided with European prices? Quick a detour to the next corner shop, there is everything at the normal store price. But beware: Some hotels have stickers attached - it helps only label floats!

DEVELOPMENT INDICATOR

Where there is no 7-Eleven, there is wilderness: Koh Chang is no secret since the first shop opened in Bang Bao. "Have you been to Kaeng Krachan yet? There's not even a 7-Eleven! "

MIDNIGHT SNACK

The last stalls on the night market only have charred Isaan sausages on offer? Then nothing like 7-Eleven. Because even there are sausages - plus a lot of frozen food, from which the service quickly conjures a delicious Thai food. Do not forget drinks (see mini bar)!

AIR CONDITION

Noon heat on the sightseeing tour, neither taxi nor BTS or shopping center within reach? Only a cooling stop in the air-conditioned 7-Eleven helps. And after an hour again

EXCHANGE OFFICE

No change for bus or taxi? The shirt seller can not change the thousand? "Can not" does not exist in the 7-Eleven, even if the amount is still so small and the bill is still so big.

BANK BRANCH

Whether electricity or telephone bill, nowhere one can settle his payment request, which has already been left behind, quickly before midnight. You can even pay for airline tickets online or by phone! Not enough bares? Today, at least every 7-Eleven has at least one ATM.

T-SPOT

You can also get a handle on the telephone costs here: at the counter you will receive various telephone and internet cards for communication with your home country. Thus, calls to Germany from 4 eurocents are possible - this should only be a fraction of the regular hotel telephone charge. There are also charge cards for Thai phones.
